| THE TANNERY SHOP will split lips, remove knuckles, etc if it is necessary. We are not responsible for the results of damaged hides. We will not be held accountable for damage caused by skins not shipped to us properly. | ||||
Important: Skins must be completely dry upon receipt or you
risk spoilage. Damp salted skins will spoil in storage or in
shipping. |

Be aware that during the tanning process your hides will
be subjected to harsh chemicals such as, Brighter, bleach,
blood out, and acid. Because of the chemical process and
subjecting the hide to re-hydration after this process,
there may be some shrinkage sometimes up to 4 inches is
common. This happens on air dried hides more than others,
such as, beaver, coyotes and others put up for resale.
